Perhaps one of the
most bizarre and entangled transfer saga
(although there are quite a few to choose
from): Is he a dsw fc player or isn't he?
Well, yes, he is now (as of 2 January 2007)
It started
in 2005, when Stretton midfielder Martin X
supposedly become a dsw fc player when the
club purchased his "commercial and
federative rights" (say what?!?) from
Uruguayan side National Montevideo. But
they found their dismay that he did not
possess a passport that would enable him to
apply for a Work Permit (Doh!).
dsw fc
supposedly paid £700,000 to a club a player
never even played at.. for his
registration.. when he had already been
playing two years in Spain.. and we are
waiting for his EU passport?? Very fishy...
He has been
handed the much coveted No 21 shirt and with
Watts, Schofield and Herlihy all looking for
excuses not to play, there will be no
competition for places.
