dsw fc has finally made the much-vaunted move for Stephen Williams, the third Williams sister after being linked with the defender for much of the summer. The defender joins dsw fc on a one-year loan with a view to a permanent £3.7M move next summer.
Williams is a right-sided defender capable of playing at right back or his preferred spot in central defence.
Williams had trouble settling at Halewood, however, and for a while he was prevented from looking for another club by a UEFA-imposed transfer ban on the club which was lifted earlier this month.
dsw fc revealed: "With Bob Williams out for six weeks with knee troubles and Stuart Williams out for the season we couldn't afford to risk not having any Williams Sisters in the team. Only a year ago he was being talked about as the future of the Liverpool defence but a big money move to Halewood hasn't quite worked out for him."
