Another game of three thirds!
What would dsw fc give for some consistency?
First third was evenly matched,
with some good football with few chances: the Devils
took the lead through a well worked goal but were pegged
back by two goals from James Dow the first a speculative
toe-poke from distance following an interception the
second a well worked goal: with Neil James leaving James
with a "one on One" the keeper saved the first but was
beaten on the rebound.
Then the second third:
Paul Richards usually unflappable was caught out
"Reyna-like": the ball spooned from his hands he cleared
but the referee adjudged that the ball crossed the line.
No sooner were the scores level when the Devils then
quickly added a third just before half time. from in
control to behind and chasing the game in about 2
minutes.
The second half saw more
good football from dsw fc but chances were well saved by
the keeper: corners and roll-ins followed but dsw fc
were undone by a spectacular 4th and then a fifth
breakaway goal. Very frustrating. a game that could have
been won ended up being well lost.
The Great Escape is over -
with a 6 point gap and only 4 games remaining relegation
looks inevitable.
