A disappointing cup night
in the end. It was a fine evening and dsw fc got off to
a flying start beating newly promoted Bulgaria 1 -0 in
ac comfortable victory. The team looked solid and the
goal came from a good build up... Mark Watts tripping
over the ball released David Dodd , David switched to
the left and played the ball across the goal to Adam Dow
who powered the ball home. Bulgaria huffed and puffed
but they were comfortably held.
The next match brought dsw
fc against Division A power house The Nomads, the Nomads
had lost their previous game 2 -0 to Fred FC.
Unfortunately they still turned up. The Nomads undid dsw
fc with good football, with both Andy Dodd and James Dow
falling for the same dummy in quick succession, Bob
Williams did his best in goal but lacked protection from
his defence.
The final game required
dsw fc to beat Fred FC by two clear goals - a target
that quickly became impossible Fred FC were simply
quicker and livelier and ran out comfortable 3 - 0
winners.
