The
last fixture before the Christmas break was perhaps dsw
fc's most solid performance for a month. However, dsw
fc were eventually beaten 3-2 by two miss hit shots and
a cruel deflection.
Unusually the game started brightly with
some excellent slick passing in the freezing and misty
conditions. The quality passing was rewarded by Neil
Hulme coolly slotting the ball past the Football Factory
keeper. Unfortunately, the lead didn’t last long as
Football Factory responded in kind. Their passing
movement allowed their striker a bit of space in front
of goal and he managed to spoon the ball into the net.
The game remained tight and dsw fc were unfortunate to
go in at the break 2-1 down. A speculative effort was
deflected into the net by the unfortunate Bob Williams.
dsw fc
kept playing quality football in the 2nd
half, but went 3-1 down to perhaps the worst hit shot in
the history of the game! Paul was left stranded as the
Football Factory striker toe ended a bobbling ball into
the net. dsw fc continued to work hard and were rewarded
again by a classy goal from Neil Hulme. Regrettably dsw
fc's late pressure could not be converted into a share
of the points.
Luck definitely was not on the dsw fc
side. Hopefully things may change in the New Year.
