A good game. A nervous dsw
fc managed to concede three goals to table topping
Nomads in the first 12 minutes, thereafter it was a
close game. Keeper Paul Richards could not be faulted as
the Nomads latched on to through balls with brutal
efficiency. dsw fc settled into a good pattern in the
remainder of the first half with some nice interchanges,
eventually the good approach play left Andy Dodd clear
and the deficit was reduced.
In the second half, dsw fc
again produced the better play, combining well, with Bob
Williams and Neil working hard in the middle closing
down quickly and defending robustly. The good work was
undone with along one two which the Nomads finished to
regain a three goal advantage 4-1. Good football
followed and a smart interchange between Andy Dodd and
Neil James left Neil with an opportunity to reduce the
deficit. Nomads were now rattled, Adam Dow and David
Dodd continued to stretch the defences of Nomads and in
the closing minutes David Dodd was crudely up-ended, the
free kick was rolled to James Dow whose shot went
narrowly wide.
An excellent team effort.
dsw fc just might stay up!
