Match Summary -
Slow, slow, too
too slow |
Another slow start
from DSW saw them suffer their first ever defeat to Fred
FC. DSW were three goals down in the first 10 minutes -
they simply played too deep allowing Fred shooting
practice at the reliable Paul Richards. The combination
of Neal James and Stephen Williams finally settled the
defence and DSW got their act together: switching the
pressing back onto Fred FC.
The transformation
was immediate bit the goals didn't flow - eventually the
neat interchanges between David Dodd, Frank Herlihy and
Adam Dow brought its reward: a shot from Adam eventually
squeezing over the line.
DSW combined well:
Philip Price, Neal James and James Dow were now all
linking well with the strikers. DSW switched their game
combining both short passing and long balls which
created numerous chances. DSW were in control, but an
intercepted roll-out was despatched past Paul Richards
with interest : 4 - 1 to Fred FC.
David Dodd after
securing numerous free kicks for Fred FC reduced the
arrears; Adam crashed the ball against the bar, more
chances flowed for Adam, Frank and David but DSW could
not add to their total.
Slow out of the
blocks, meant DSW never got ahead, lets hope they
remember the need to hit the ground running next week.
